Scene Designer for D&D (By ruethless)

A fantastic idea by one user in Discord, was to expand and adapt the JV’s Scene Designer 2.0 to the specific needs of Dungeon and Dragons, and the player’s needs and playstyle! This is indeed what was behind the idea of the Scene Designer, that it can spark prefered ways of coming up with scenes and story progress.

Check this adaptation by ruethless (credits to him!) and see if you could use it, or why not make your own as well.

For my purposes, I changed some of the wording under “Type” to more align with the Mythic phrasing that I am used to. I also replaced your “Challenges” with the D&D 5e skill challenges, since that is the system I use for solo. Finally, I liked the “Difficulty” table from your v1, so I used that instead of “Factor” and expanded it for the standard 5e DCs.

I also used 3d20 to rapidly roll them, and ordered the numbers such that Advantage would yield better things, and Disadvantage would yield worse things. I use Advantage/Disadvantage similar to the chaos factor, depending on how well things went during the last scene.
